UP NEET UG 2025 round 1, 2 seat resignation deadline extended till October 12

The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has extended the deadline for seat resignation under Uttar Pradesh National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (UP NEET UG) counselling 2025. Candidates who secured admission through the first and second rounds of online UP NEET UG counselling 2025 can now submit their resignations within the revised deadline.

As per the official notice, the new last date for submission of seat resignation is October 12, 2025, by 2 pm. The official notice states that candidates are advised to complete the resignation process within the stipulated time to avoid any complications in further counselling rounds.

“Candidates admitted through the first and second round of online counselling under UP NEET UG (MBBS/BDS) – 2025 are hereby informed that the last date to submit a resignation from the allotted seat has been extended to October 12, 2025, by 2:00 PM,” the official notice said.

Initially, the reporting deadline for UP NEET UG 2025 Round 1 counselling was August 23, which was later extended to August 26. For Round 2 counselling, the original reporting deadline was September 27, but it was subsequently extended twice, first to September 30 and then to October 3.

UP NEET UG round 3 counselling commences

Recently, the DGME, Uttar Pradesh, issued a notice stating that 148 candidates have been debarred from UP NEET PG 2025 counselling . This includes 59 candidates who did not join the MD/MS seats allotted in the stray vacancy rounds last year and 89 candidates who resigned after the last cycle before completing the course.

The UP NEET UG Round 3 counselling has also begun, with the last date to complete registration set as October 13, 2025. As per the UP NEET UG round 3 schedule, candidates can fill and lock their choices from October 14 to October 17, 2025, while the seat allotment results will be announced on October 18, 2025.
