Over 10.77 lakh candidates appeared for the UP Police Sub-Inspector recruitment exam held in March; final list based on all stages performance

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has declared the UP Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Result 2026 today, May 7. Candidates who appeared for the recruitment examination held on March 14 and 15 can now check their qualifying status, merit list and scorecards online through the UPPRPB’s official portal uppbpb.gov.in.
The board has released the merit list in PDF format containing the roll numbers of shortlisted candidates.
The recruitment examination was conducted for 4,543 Sub-Inspector vacancies in the civil police department. As per the official data, over 10.77 lakh candidates appeared for the examination this year.

Candidates shortlisted in the written examination will now move to the next stages of the recruitment process, including the Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), document verification and medical examination.
The UP Police SI scorecard includes details such as candidate name, registration number, roll number, marks obtained, section-wise scores, category details and qualifying status. Candidates have been advised to carefully verify all information mentioned in the scorecard after downloading it.

Along with the result, UPPRPB has also published the category-wise cut-off marks. The board said the cut-off was determined on the basis of factors including the number of applicants, difficulty level of the examination, total vacancies and reservation criteria.
Final selection of candidates will be based on performance across all stages of the recruitment process.
