The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is likely to be conducted in October. Earlier, the UP TET exam date 2021 was proposed for December.
NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test popularly known as a UP TET 2021 will now be conducted in October. According to a report published in Amar Ujala the Secretary Examination Regulatory Authority had proposed the UP TET exam date for December 19 2021. However, as per the latest UP TET news, the Minister of Basic Education, Uttar Pradesh has directed the authorities to hold the UP TET exam sometime in October.
According to the previous UP TET notification 2021, the exam was supposed to be held on July 25 and the release of the UP TET form date was May 18. In wake of the second wave of the COVID 19 pandemic, the UP TET 2021 exam was postponed.

UP TET 2021 Registration Date
Since the exam is likely to be held in October, the UP TET online registration will begin sometime in the third week of August . All the candidates who are aspiring to appear for the UP TET 2021 exam, must ensure that they fill the UP TET 2021 application form before the last date.
UP TET Exam - Past years statistics
The last time that the UP TET exam was held was in January 2019. Last year UP TET 2021 exam could not take place as the country was marred by the first wave of COVID 19. In 2019, 16,34,249 candidates had registered for the exam which was held in offline mode. According to the Exam Regulatory Authority, UP, , a total of 10,68,912 candidates had registered to appear for the UP TET exam at primary level while 5,65,337 had filled the UP TET online form for the upper-primary level.
UP TET Eligibility Certificate
The UP Government has extended the validity of the UP TET eligibility certificate to lifetime. Earlier the UP TET eligibility certificate was valid for five years.
