UPPSC RO, ARO 2023 paper allegedly leaked; candidates demand re-exam

UPPSC has formed a committee and decided to get the RO, ARO exam issues investigated through STF. Exam was held on February 11.
NEW DELHI: UPPSC RO, ARO candidates are demanding re-exam after alleged leak of the question paper on social media. Aspirants took to X (formerly Twitter) to narrate their ordeal and demanded cancellation of the recently-held exam. Meanwhile, the commission has formed an internal committee to examine the irregularities and has decided to get the exam investigated through the Special Task Force (STF).
“Some news has been published in some newspapers regarding the RO/ARO preliminary exam 2023. Keeping the above in view, the Commission has constituted an internal committee to investigate the entire examination and at the same time it has been decided to investigate all the points of RO / ARO preliminary examination 2023 through STF, for which a recommendation was made to the government. After investigation, an appropriate decision will be taken by the Commission keeping in mind the purity of the examination,” UPPSC said in an official notice.
On the other hand, students shared screenshots of WhatsApp conversations showing a person claiming to provide 'exact' questions against money and PDF files on paper being received, one day before the exam.
UPPSC RO, ARO Paper Leak: Demand for re-exam
A candidate said in a post, “More than 6 lakh candidates had put everything at stake for 411 posts. There is disappointment among lakhs of candidates due to the leak of information about the paper. Due to the exact answer key going viral, complete transparency is under doubt."
“Paper leak is playing with the future of lakhs of eligible candidates. The commission should also give proof of its impartiality. Cancel this paper so that the ineligible and corrupt do not get selected,” a student said on X.
“The mistake of your administration is not being able to stop the paper from being issued and now they are making another mistake by wasting time in formalities. The date of re-examination should be announced soon before the Lok Sabha elections so that the time of eligible candidates can be saved,” another candidate said.
The UPPSC exam was held on February 11 to fill a total of 411 vacancies for the positions of RO and ARO through this recruitment drive. The UPPSC RO ARO recruitment 2023 selection process comprises three rounds- preliminary examination, main examination, and typing test.
