UPSC CAPF exam 2024 time table out; guidelines to attempt questions

UPSC CAPF recruitment exam 2024 will fill a total of 506 vacancies in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force among others.
NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) exam time table 2024 for recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). The UPSC CAPF exam 2024 will be held on August 1 in two shifts for paper 1 and paper 2.
Through the recruitment exam, 506 vacancies in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and others will be filled.
The commission will conduct the paper 1 exam from 10 am to 12 noon and paper 2 from 2 pm to 5 pm. According to exam pattern, paper 1 will test general ability and intelligence and will carry 250 marks. The questions will be of objective type set in English and Hindi medium.
Paper 2 will assess applicants’ knowledge in general studies, essay and comprehension for a total of 200 marks. They will be allowed to answer the essay questions in Hindi or English, but the medium of precise writing, comprehension components and other communications or language skills will be English only.
Candidates will also be required to indicate the medium of essay component in the attendance lists and on the answer book. “No credit will be given for the Essay Component if the candidate indicates a medium on the Attendance List and on the Answer Book other than the one in which he/she has written the Essay,” it clarified.
