UPSC CDS 1 2024 final result out; 237 candidates qualify, Pratik Ganguly tops

UPSC CDS 1 2024 result is available on upsc.gov.in. Marks of candidates will be issued after the final result of Officers’ Training Academy.
NEW DELHI : The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final result of the Combined Defence Services (CDS) 1 2024 exam. A total of 237 candidates have qualified for admission to the military, naval, and air force academies. Those who wrote the exam and appeared for the interviews can check their status on the official website, upsc.gov.in.

“In order of merit of 237 (158 + 44 +35 ) candidates who have qualified on the basis of the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2024 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission in April, 2024 and SSB interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the 158th (DE) Course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course i.e. No. 217 F(P) Course,” said UPSC in the latest notice.
158 candidates qualified for military, 44 for navy, and 35 for air force. The UPSC CDS 1 2024 recruitment is being conducted for 100 vacancies in the military, 32 in navy, and 32 in air force.
The candidature of the candidates is provisional as the army headquarters are in the process of verifying the date of birth and educational qualifications. The number of qualified candidates is based on the exam and interviews and the medical exam results have not been considered. The commission had recommended 1954, 586 and 628 on the basis of the written test for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy, respectively.
UPSC asked candidates to forward their certificates, in original, in support of date of birth or educational qualification etc. claimed by them, along with attested copies thereof to the headquarters as per their first choice.
“However, marks of the candidates will be available on the website after declaration of final result of Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) for Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2024,” UPSC added.
