UPSC CDS 1 exam 2025 today; exam day guidelines, things to carry

NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the UPSC Combined Defence Services (CDS) 1 2025 exam today in three shifts. The English exam will be held from 9 am to 11 am, general knowledge from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, and elementary maths from 4 pm to 6 pm.

Candidates are advised to carry their UPSC CDS 1 admit card 2025 to the exam centre along with a valid ID proof for verification purposes.

The UPSC CDS exam 2025 will be held in two phases: a written exam and an interview for the intelligence and personality test. The UPSC CDS 1 admit card was released on April 3.

According to the UPSC CDS 1 marking scheme, there will be negative marking of 0.3 marks for each wrong answer. The UPSC CDS 1 recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 457 vacancies in various departments. Candidates who qualify for the written exam will be eligible to appear for the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview.

UPSC CDS 1 exam day guidelines 2025

The exam day guidelines for UPSC CDS 2025 are as follows.

  • Candidates should reach the exam centre at least one hour before the exam begins.
  • Candidates are advised not to carry any electronic devices to the exam centres, such as calculators, camera, microphone, mobile phones, etc.
  • Candidates should not carry any expensive items to the exam centre, such as handbags or purses and should not bring any food items as well.
  • Candidates are advised to not indulge in any unfair means during the exam; if found involved, strict action will be taken against the candidate. However, their candidature also might be cancelled.
