UPSC CDS 1 2025 final result declared: 535 qualify for Officers Training Academy

UPSC CDS 2025: A total of 535 candidates, 473 men and 62 women, have been selected based on their written exam scores and SSB interview conducted by the ministry of defence.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) 1 final result 2025. As per the UPSC CDS 1 merit list PDF, a total of 535 candidates, including 473 men and 62 women, have qualified for the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai.

Candidates can access the UPSC CDS 1 final result on the official website, upsc.gov.in. The CDS 1 marks will be released within 15 days of the date of result declaration and will remain available for 30 days.
As per the official UPSC notice, the CDS 1 merit list has been prepared for admission to the 123rd Short Service Commission (SSC) course (Men – Non-Technical) and the 37th SSC Women (Non-Technical) course, both scheduled to commence in April 2026.

According to the official notification, the number of vacancies stands at 275 for the SSC (Men) course and 18 for the SSC Women (Non-Technical) course.
The UPSC CDS 1 merit list also includes candidates who were earlier recommended for admission to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), and Air Force Academy (AFA – Pre-Flying Training) based on the same examination.
UPSC CDS 1 Merit List 2025: Steps to download
Candidates can follow the steps given below to check the admission status of UPSC CDS 1 OTA 2025 .
- Go to the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in.
- Click on the “Final Result: Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2025 (OTA)” link.
- On the next page, click on the CDS 1 merit list PDF file.
- The result will be downloaded in a PDF format.
- To know your admission status, search for your roll number and name in the downloaded merit list.
“The results of the medical examination were not considered while preparing the merit list. The eligibility of all selected candidates is provisional and subject to verification of date of birth and educational qualifications by the Army Head Quarter,” the UPSC said.
Additionally, candidates who were not recommended can view their scores under the section "Disclosure of Marks and Other Details of Non-Recommended Candidates" on the UPSC website, the notice added.
