NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final result of the Combined Defence Services (CDS) 2 exam 2025. A total of 349 candidates have qualified for admission to the 159th (DE) Course at IMA Dehradun, INA Ezhimala, and AFA Hyderabad for the pre-flying training course.
Candidates who appeared for the exam can download the UPSC CDS 2 final result 2025 through the official website at upsc.gov.in. The UPSC CDS 2 merit list includes 223 candidates for IMA, 89 for INA, and 37 for AFA. Some candidates appear in more than one list.
The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 100 vacancies for IMA posts, including 13 reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Army Wing) holders. INA has 32 vacancies, including six for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Naval Wing) holders, while AFA has 32 vacancies, with three reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Air Wing) holders through the NCC Special Entry.

UPSC CDS 2 Result 2025: Medical exam not considered
As per the official notice, UPSC had initially recommended 2,534 candidates for IMA, 900 for INA, and 613 for AFA based on the written test. The final selection was based on the SSB interview conducted by Army Headquarters. “The results of Medical examination have not been taken into account in preparing these lists,” the official notice said.
The official notice further stated that the verification of date of birth and educational qualifications of the selected candidates is still in process. Their candidature remains provisional until the necessary documents are verified by Army, Naval, or Air Headquarters.
“In case, there is any change of address, the candidates are advised to promptly intimate directly to the Army Headquarters /Naval Headquarters /Air Headquarters,” the official notice said.
