Download EBookThe Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results for the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) 2, 2025 today. A total of 9,085 candidates have qualified the written test for the CDS 2 examinations and advanced to the interview round.

Candidates who appeared for the UPSC CDS 2 written exam can check the result through the official website at upsc.gov.in.
The UPSC CDS 2 result contains candidates’ roll number and name of the qualified applicants. Such candidates will now have to appear for an interview round taken by the Service Selection Board (SSC) of the Ministry of Defence.
The marksheet of the candidates appeared for the UPSC CDS 2 examination will be available on the official website within 15 days from the date of publication of the final result of OTA course (after SSB interview).

The marksheets on the website will remain available for a period of 30 days. Notably, candidates who have qualified the UPSC CDS 2 written test, and given army as first choice, must register themselves on the recruiting directorate’s official portal at joinindianarmy.nic.in.
Such applicants will receive SSC interview calls soon. The UPSC CDS 2 examination is conducted to recruit eligible candidates for officer-level positions in the Indian Armed Forces (Army, Navy, and Air Force).
The exam is conducted once annually by the UPSC. The recruitment is held to fill vacancies for the Indian military academy, Dehradun 161st (DE) course, commencing in July, 2026.
Candidates are also admitted to the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala, Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course, Officers Training Academy, Chennai (Madras) 124th SSC (Men) (NT) (UPSC) Course, and Officers Training Academy, Chennai (Madras), 124th SSC Women.
