UPSC CDS 2024 registrations end today, exam on April 21
UPSC CDS 2024 application correction facility will be available from January 10 to 16.

NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will close the registration for Combined Defence Services (CDS 1) today, January 9. UPSC CDS 2024 application form was out along with the official notification on December 20, in online mode. Candidates can fill the UPSC CDS 1 application form 2024 by 6 pm today on the official website, upsc.gov.in.
UPSC conducts the CDS, NDA exam twice a year. As per the schedule, the UPSC CDS 1 exam 2024 will be held on April 21, at various examination centres across the country. The CDS II will be conducted on September 1, 2024, and the notification will be made available on May 15.
UPSC CDS 1 Exam 2024: Eligibility
Candidates must be graduates of a recognised university. To join the Navy, one must have a bachelor's degree in engineering, but to get into the Air Force Academy, one must have passed Physics and Chemistry in Class 12 in addition to a bachelor's degree.
Candidates applying for the CDS exam for the Air Force and Navy must be between the ages of 19 and 23, while those applying for the Officers Training Academy must be between the ages of 19 and 24.
UPSC CDS 2024: Exam pattern
UPSC conducts a common CDS exam for the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Navy Academy (INA) and Air Force Academy (AFA) and a separate one for the Officers’ Training Academy (OTA). Candidates can check the UPSC CDS 1 exam pattern below.
