UPSC Civil Services curriculum at LBSNAA is being modified, says Dr. Jitendra Singh

NEW DELHI - Union Minister of State PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions,, Dr Jitendra Singh while delivering the keynote address at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) for IAS/ Civil Services stated that the curriculum at LBSNAA is being modified, keeping in mind the changing needs of India at 75.

In his address, he added that the next 25 years are very crucial for the country and added that the functioning mode of the civil servants should shift from ‘Rule to Role’. He added that the change in the curriculum was brought after the personnel intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and reiterated the slogan given by the Indian PM that “development must become a Jan Andolan using Science & Technology in its most upgraded form”.

Objective of change in curriculum at LBSNAA

Dr Singh added that he was confident that the change in the curriculum will enhance the competency of the civil servants or the bureaucrats and give a boost to service delivery potential. He further said that the onus of ensuring that the benefit of development reaches all is on the cil servants and they must ensure that red tapism is rooted out. It is the responsibility of the civil servants to make sure that the vision of rapid growth with inclusion is incorporated by them while formulating the policies.

Civil Servants need to work for the vulnerable and poor

The minister in his address stated that there was need for the civil servants to work towards improving the condition of the poor and they must formulate and follow an inclusive, constructive and progressive policy.

UPSC Civil Services Exam 2021

The Union Public Service Commission will conduct the UPSC IAS prelims exam on October 10. There has been a delay in holding the civils services 2021 exam due to the COVID 19 pandemic. All those who qualify the UPSC IAS preliminary examination, they would have to appear in the mains followed by an interview.
