NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission has released the UPSC Combined Medical Services (CMS) 2023 examination notification today, April 19, 2023. The UPSC CMS exam 2023 registration has started and candidates can apply till May 9, 2023. The UPSC CMS notification is available at upsc.gov.in.
Candidates must ensure that their e-mail ids given in their application are valid and active as the commission will use electronic mode of communication to contact.

The official notification reads "Candidates are required to apply online by using the website upsconline.nic.in. It is essential for the applicant to register himself/herself first at One Time Registration (OTR) platform, available on the Commission’s website, and then proceeds for filling up the online application for the examination".
For the recruitment of medical officers in different government departments, the UPSC CMS exam 2023 will be held on July 16, 2023. As per the notice, the e-admit card will be issued three weeks before the commencement of the examination and no admit card will be sent by post to any candidate.

Candidates while applying for the exam are required to pay the UPSC CMS application fee of Rs 200. However, female, SC, ST and PwBD candidates are exempted from application fee payment.
As per the UPSC CMS paper pattern, the examination will have two parts. Part 1 is a written exam of 500 marks and the candidates will take the written examination in two papers. Each paper will carry a maximum of 250 marks and the duration of two papers is two hours. Part 2 will be a personality test of 100 marks. those who will qualify for the written exam will be eligible for the personality test. There will be negative markings for wrong answers in the objective-type questions.
