NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the result of the Combined Geo-Scientist Main exam 2024. Candidates who appeared for the exams held on June 22 and June 23 can check their qualifying status on the official website, upsc.gov.in. The commission has issued lists of roll numbers of candidates who have qualified for the interview or the personality test. 110 candidates have been recommended for geologist, 14 for hydrogeology, 31 for geophysicist, and 39 for chemist or chemical posts.
“The candidature of these candidates is provisional subject to their being found eligible in all respects. The candidates would be required to produce the original certificates in support of their claim relating to age, educational qualifications, community, physical disability, EWS etc. at the time of the personality test. They are, therefore, advised to keep the said certificates ready,” said UPSC.
Selected candidates will be required to fill a Detailed Application Form (DAF), which will be available on the website soon, and submit it along with the scanned copies of certificates. Before filling the application form, candidates will have to register themselves on the website.
The commission asked candidates to read carefully the instructions on the original certificates and to bring all the required documents at the time of interview for verification. “The candidate will be solely responsible for not producing sufficient valid proof in support of his/her age, date of birth, educational qualifications, caste (SC/ST/OBC), EWS and physical disability status,” it added.
While the interview schedule will be issued in “due course of time” on the commission’s website, the exact dates will be intimated personally to the candidates. The commission will not entertain any request for change in the date and time of the personality test.
Candidates’ mark sheets will be uploaded on the website of UPSC within 15 days from the date of the Combined Geo-Scientist final result 2024 and will be available for a month. Students will be able to access their scorecards using their roll numbers and date of birth.
