NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will close the registration for the UPSC Civil Service Examination (UPSC CSE) 2025 today, February 18. Candidates can apply for the UPSC CSE 2025 exam through the official website, upsc.gov.in.
Candidates can apply online using the one time registration (OTR) platform and then fill in the UPSC CSE 2025 application form. However, candidates who already have OTR can proceed to fill in the UPSC CSE 2025 application form.
UPSC extended the registration last date for CSE exams till today. The commission will open the application correction window on February 19 to 25. Candidates can login using their credentials and make the required changes, if any, on the application form. As per the latest updates by UPSC, candidates will only be able to change their name, DOB, gender, parent’s name, minority status, and Class 10 board roll number.
The UPSC CSE prelims exams will be held on May 25, while, UPSC CSE 2025 mains exam will be held on August 22. The UPSC CSE 2025 admit card release date is yet to be announced. This year, the commission announced around 979 vacancies for the UPSC CSE preliminary exam 2025, out of which, 38 posts are reserved for PwD category candidates.
The UPSC CSE 2025 exams have three stages – prelims, mains, and an interview round. The UPSC CSE prelims exam duration is 4 hours comprising 400 marks. Candidates will have to secure a minimum of 33% marks to qualify for both general studies papers in prelims. The UPSC CSE mains exams include 9 papers for a duration of three hours. Candidates have the option to choose two optional papers in the mains exam. The interview round is the final stage of the UPSC CSE recruitment process. To qualify for the UPSC CSE 2025 exam, candidates must have in-depth knowledge of their subjects and current affairs.
