NEW DELHI: The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) will conduct the UPSC Civil Services Exam (UPSC CSE) Mains 2023 exam from tomorrow. Candidates who qualified UPSC IAS preliminary exam will have to download the UPSC Mains admit card 2023 from the official website, upsc.gov.in.

The commission has also issued UPSC exam day guidelines along with the admit card. The UPSC Mains exam 2023 will be held in two sessions - forenoon session will begin from 9 AM to 12 noon and afternoon session from 2 PM to 5 PM. The UPSC CSE Mains exam dates 2023 are September 15, 16, 17, 23 and 24.

UPSC CSE Mains 2023 exam guidelines

The exam day guidelines to be followed by the candidates are given below.

  • Candidates will have to carry the printout of e-Admit card 2023 along with the original photo identity card to be permitted inside the examination hall.
  • Candidates should not bring any valuables or costly items in the test centre.
  • They should reach the examination hall 30 minutes before the scheduled time in each session. No one will be allowed to enter the 10 minutes after the commencement of the exam.
  • Possession, even in switch off mode, or use of mobile phones and other electronics and communication devices are banned at the examination premises.
  • Candidates who do not have clear photographs on the e-admit card will have to bring a passport size photograph, one for each session, for appearing in the examination with an undertaking.
