NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission will close the registration window for Engineering Services Examination (ESE) prelims 2025 today, October 8. Candidates can register for UPSC ESE 2025 through the official website, upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in till 6 pm.

Applicants will be required to apply online by making One-Time Registration (OTR) and submit the requisite information and supporting documents towards various claims, such as date of birth, category, educational qualification along with the online application form. “The failure to provide the required information/documents along with the Online Application Form or within the correction-window, if any, provided by the Commission will entail cancellation of candidature for the examination,” said UPSC in an official notification.

Candidates except female, SC, ST, PwBD are required to pay Rs 200 as the registration fee. Successfully registered candidates who wish to modify their UPSC ESE 2025 application form between October 9 and 15.

UPSC ESE prelims 2025 will be conducted on February 9. The commission will issue UPSC ESE admit card 2025 on the last working day of the week before the exam. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 232 vacancies in the various engineering posts.

UPSC ESE 2025: How to fill application form?

The steps to apply for UPSC ESE exam 2025 are as follows:

  • Go to the official website - upsc.gov.in
  • On the homepage, go to Apply Online section and select One Time Registration for Examinations
  • Then register yourself and login
  • Fill up the ESE application form and pay the required fee
  • Submit the details and download the form
  • Take a print out of the confirmation page for future reference

UPSC ESE will be held in three stages: preliminary exam, mains exam, and personality test. The prelims exam will consist of two objective-type question papers carrying a total of 500 marks. Paper 1 will carry 200 marks while paper 2 will have a weightage of 300 marks.
