UPSC ESE notification 2019 released; apply before October 22

NEW DELHI, September 26: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification of Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2019 on September 26, 2018. As per the notification, as many as 581 vacancies have been announced by the commission. The Engineering graduates who are between 21 to 30 years of age (as on August 1, 2019) can apply for UPSC ESE 2019 exam.
The online application form is available from September 26 to October 22, 2018.
In order to register for UPSC ESE 2019, candidates have to enter basic details as part 1 of application form and select the mode of payment, pay the requisite fee, upload scanned photograph, signature and tick the declaration check-box as part 2 of application.
While paying the application fee, General and OBC male candidates have to pay Rs. 200, on the other hand female/SC/ST/ PH candidates are exempted from fee payment. The payment can be done through bank challan or net banking or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit card.
UPSC ESE exam will be conducted in 3 stages – preliminary, mains and Personality Test. The preliminary exam is scheduled to be conducted on January 6, 2019, at 42 test cities across India. The mains exam will be conducted on June 30, 2019, at 24 test cities across the country. Candidates who qualify the prelims exam will be eligible to appear for mains exam. The selected candidates after mains exam will be eligible to appear for Personality test.
UPSC ESE is conducted every year for the recruitment of Group A/B posts or services under civil, mechanical, electrical and electronics and telecommunications engineering categories. Approximately 2.5 lakh candidates appear for UPSC ESE exam every year.
