UPSC ESE Prelims result 2026 declared on upsc.gov.in; Mains exam scheduled for June 21

UPSC ESE 2026 Result: Rishab Kabdwal secured the top rank in Civil Engineering, Deepak Kumar topped ME, and Vikas Malik became the topper in Electrical Engineering.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination 2026 result. Candidates can check their UPSC ESE result 2026 on the official website, upsc.gov.in. The UPSC ESE prelims exam results have been declared in PDF format.
According to the UPSC ESE result, a total of 1,443 candidates have qualified in the preliminary exam. Out of these, 578 candidates qualified in Civil Engineering, 420 in Mechanical Engineering, 278 in Electrical Engineering, and 167 in Electronics and Telecommunication (ET&T) Engineering.
Rishab Kabdwal has secured the first rank in civil engineering, Deepak Kumar obtained the top spot in mechanical engineering, Vikas Malik topped in electrical engineering, Abhilash G Nair in electronics and telecommunication.

The UPSC ESE result PDF contains the roll numbers of candidates who have qualified for the next stage of the selection process.
UPSC ESE prelims result 2026
All the candidates whose names are on the list have qualified for the UPSC ESE Mains 2026, which will be held on June 21, 2026. However, their selection is provisional and depends on meeting the required eligibility criteria set by the UPSC. Candidates are advised to read the exam rules carefully.
The cut-off marks and candidates’ marks for the UPSC ESE prelims 2026 will be released only after the final result is announced. The UPSC also clarified that no requests to change the exam centre or discipline for the Engineering Services (Main) Examination 2026 will be accepted under any circumstances.
The commission also said that the UPSC ESE Mains admit card 2026 will be issued about one week before the exam.
The UPSC ESE Prelims exam 2026 was conducted on February 8, 2026, across various examination centres in the country.
