NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the civil services examination prelims (CSE Prelims 2024) exam tomorrow, June 16 in two shifts. The UPSC prelims 2024 first shift exam will be held from 9:30 am to 11:30 am for general studies paper 1 and the second shift from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm for general studies paper 2 (CSAT). Both paper 1 and 2 will contain objective type questions. Paper 1 will contain 100 questions and paper 2 will be of 80 question, both for 200 marks each
The UPSC Prelims Admit Card 2024 was released on June 7, 2024 and candidates can download it from the UPSC website at upsc.gov.in. The IAS exam will be conducted across 79 exam centres in offline mode.
Candidates should carry all the essential documents to the exam hall. This includes the UPSC CSE admit card 2024, two passport-size photographs, and a valid government-issued photo ID, such as original Aadhaar card, driving licence, voter identity card, PAN card, passport or any other photo ID proof.

Candidates should bring a printout of their UPSC IAS 2024 e-admit cards and double check it to ensure no discrepancies.
It should be noted that any mistakes while filling out the OMR sheet, especially regarding the roll number and test booklet series code will result in the rejection of the UPSC prelims 2024 answer sheet.
Candidates should arrive at the exam hall at least 60 minutes before the reporting time to avoid last minute hassle.
Candidates are not allowed to carry personal belongings or electronics into the exam hall. If such devices or items are found, their candidature will be revoked.
