UPSC has released the IAS Detailed Application Form 2 on March 25, 2021. Mains qualified candidates can fill the DAF 2 till April 5, 2021.

Download EBookNEW DELHI: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the detailed application form (DAF-2) on March 25, 2021, at upsc.gov.in . The UPSC Civil Services Exam DAF 2 is released for candidates who have qualified in the UPSC Mains exam. The last date to fill the UPSC IAS DAF 2 is April 5, 2021. UPSC released the IAS mains result on March 23. Through the DAF 2, candidates can fill their cadre allocation for All India Services- IAS/ IPS/ IFoS and others.

What is UPSC IAS DAF 2?
In DAF 2, candidates will have to indicate their order of preferences for the services under the Civil Services Examination. Candidates must put their preference in the order of interest, from most to least preferable service. The online Detailed Application Form-II is to be filled before the commencement of the Personality Test (Interview). During the civil services interview, candidates will be asked some questions based on their DAF, order of preference of the services and their cadre.
Apart from the service preference, a candidate who wishes to be considered for IAS or IPS shall also be required to indicate the order of their preferences for various Zones and Cadres for which they would like to be considered for allotment. No change in preferences of services once submitted by a candidate would be permitted.
What documents to be filled in UPSC Civil Service Exam DAF 2?
Along with filling this form, candidates will also have to upload their documents/ certificates of higher education, achievements in different fields, service experience, OBC Annexure (for OBC category only), EWS Annexure (for EWS category only), etc.
UPSC IAS mains 2020 was conducted from January 8 to 17, 2021 in descriptive mode.
