Subscribe NowNew Delhi: The Union Public Services Commission is all set to conduct the Civil Services (Main) exam tomorrow. The UPSC IAS 2021 mains exam will be conducted in a pen and paper-based mode on January 7, 8, 9, 15 and 16. As per the released UPSC IAS exam schedule 2021 , the examination will be conducted in two sessions every day except day 1 (January 7, 2022). The first session will be held from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.
As per the UPSC IAS mains exam pattern 2021, there is a total of nine papers in the examination. Candidates should obtain a minimum of 25% in their optional subject along with the other subjects. All languages covered in the 8th schedule of the Indian constitution will be taken into account for the language paper.

The UPSC IAS 2021 selection process includes three major stages - preliminary, mains and interview.
