What is the UPSC IAS DAF?

The UPSC IAS DAF is an application form which is released on the official website of UPSC. All the candidates who qualified in the UPSC IAS preliminary exam have to fill the DAF before appearing in the mains exam. In the DF aspirants will have to fill in all their information such as their personal details, academic information, post and service preference etc.

The DAF is an important document and needs to be filled with utmost care as maximum questions asked by the interview panel during the personality test will be based on the DAF itself.

Once the DAF period is over, UPSC will release the IAS mains admit card for the mains stage. Candidates will have to carry their mains admit card to the exam centre along with a valid ID proof, however, unlike the preliminary exam, the mains will be conducted across various days so aspirants will have to keep the admit card safe and carry it to the exam centre on all these days.
