UPSC announces NDA, NA exam 2 dates; written tests on September 13

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the exam dates for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) exam 2, 2026. The commission will conduct the NDA and NA 2 exams on September 13 in two shifts.

The NDA and NA exam 2, 2026 for Mathematics subject with code 01, will be held from 10 am to 12:30 noon. While the General Ability Test, exam code 02 will be conducted from 2 pm to 4 pm.
The UPSC hosted the registration for NDA and NA 2 exams until June 11, 2026.
The competitive exams are the gateway for admission to the National Defence Academy and the Naval Academy, offering candidates seeking careers in the armed forces.
NDA, NA exam II, 2026: Marking scheme, selection stages
The commission will conduct the NDA and NA 2, 2026 exams to fill a total of 394 vacancies, including 370 positions for male candidates and 24 for female applicants.
As part of the selection process, the authority will conduct a written exam for mathematics subject, containing 300 marks, and a general ability test for 600 marks.
Those who will qualify the written test will be advanced to appear for the SSB interview, including intelligence and personality test. The selection procedure will be followed by a group tasks and psychology evaluation round, and a medical examination.
There will be a negative marking of 1/3 per wrong answer and each correct answer will carry one mark. The exam will be held for 2.5 hours per paper.
