NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will allow candidates to make modifications in one-time registration (OTR) for the civil service examination (UPSC CSE) preliminary from today. Candidates who have registered for the UPSC IAS prelims exam 2024 will be able to edit the application form through the official website, upsc.gov.in.

The UPSC CSE correction facility will be available for 7 days till March 13. Candidates who wish to edit the UPSC OTR profile during this period will have to login through the OTR platform and not through the modification link.

Candidates will not be allowed to withdraw the UPSC IAS application form 2024 once it is submitted. Applicants were required to provide the details of one government-approved photo ID card during the registration process and the same will be used for all future references.

The UPSC CSE prelims exam 2024 will be held at 80 exam cities across the country. The preliminary exam for 1,056 posts will be administered on May 26.

Applicants should note that there will be a ceiling on the number of candidates allotted to each of the centres, except Chennai, Dispur, Kolkata and Nagpur. Moreover, allotment of exam centres will be on the ‘first-apply-first allot’ basis, and once the capacity of a particular centre is attained, the same will be frozen, the commission said.

Candidates should also note that once a date of birth details has been submitted in the application form, no change in the recorded information will be allowed subsequently.
