UPSC postpones CSE, IFS 2026 notification due to 'administrative reasons'

Earlier, the UPSC had announced to publish the notification for the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) and Indian Forest Service Examination (IFS) 2026 today, January 14.
Moreover, there is no announcement by the authority over the late date of notification, as per the official website at upsc.gov.in.

“The Notification of Civil Services Examination, 2026 and Indian Forest Service Examination, 2026, scheduled to be notified on 14.01.2026, has now been postponed due to administrative reasons and the same will be notified in due course,” the notification reads.
Recently, the commission notified the candidates, mandating face authentication at UPSC exam centres . This has been introduced to strengthen the integrity of the examination process, the UPSC said.
"All candidates appearing in the UPSC examination will undergo face authentication at the venue," read a note on the Commission's website.
The UPSC CSE and IFS 2026 examination will be conducted on May 24.
