UPSC Releases Indian Statistical Services 2020 Notification

NEW DELHI - Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the notification and application form of Indian Statical Services (ISS) 2020 on June 10. Alongside, the commission has released a notice which states that “Indian Economic Service Examination, 2020 will not be held due to NIL vacancy reported for the Indian Economic Service by the Ministry of Finance (Department of Economic Affairs).” Prior to this the commission has released a revised calendar which includes the application and exam dates of the Indian Statistical Services 2020 exam.

UPSC Indian Statistical Services 2020 exam has six papers in total and two are common in both IES and ISS. Indian Statistical Service exam papers are subjective in nature and two sections are of objective type i.e MCQ. After the written exam there is one last round left that is the interview. Applicants qualifying the written stage are called for the interview and after clearing all the stages eligible applicants are recruited to the Indian Economic Services/ Indian Statical Service posts.

Earlier the UPSC IES/ISS notification was to be released in the month of March, 2020, but was postponed due the COVID 19 crisis in the country. But after a special meeting held by the UPSC on June 5, released a revised calendar for all the exams that are to be conducted this year.
