
NEW DELHI, MAY 30: Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), which is the exam conducting body, has declared the result of UPSEE 2018 on May 30. To check results, candidates need to log-in to result portal using their roll number and date of birth. The result of the exam is available through candidate log-in account only and will not be sent by post or any other means. Key details like subject-wise and total marks, and rank obtained by the candidate in the entrance exam is included in the result.
Aditya Singh from Noida topped the exam with a score of 572 marks (95.33%). Second place went to Deepankur Kansal from Meerut, who scored 552 marks.
A total of 1,56,452 candidates appeared in the exam this year, out of which 1,43,551 have qualified.
Based on the result of the exam, candidates will be shortlisted for counselling which is scheduled to take place from June 25 onwards. The result card has to be produced at the time of counselling.

How to check UPSEE result
Candidates may follow the steps given here to check the result of the offline exam.

The candidate will be directed to a log-in panel.
Log-in using USEE 2018 roll number and date of birth
Upon successful log-in, the result would be displayed on the screen.
Download and take a printout of the result.

How is inter-se-merit determined?
If two or more candidates obtain the same total marks in the entrance exam, the rank list will be prepared based on the following parameters:
Candidates with fewer number of incorrect attempts will be ranked higher
Candidates with higher total marks in paper I will be ranked higher
For B.Tech in Biotechnology engineering and Agricultural Engineering, the rank of the candidate will be determined based on marks scored in Paper 3.
If a tie persists even at this stage, the candidate who is older in age will be ranked higher.
Merit list and Counselling
The exam conducting body will prepare merit lists based on marks secured by the candidate in the exam. The merit list will be category-specific, meaning there will be separate merit lists for open, OBC, SC and ST candidates. Candidates will be shortlisted for counselling based on these category-wise merit lists.
The counselling will be conducted in online mode from June 25 onwards. Shortlisted candidates have to get registered and pay the counselling fee to participate in counselling sessions. There will be three rounds of counselling, followed by a spot round.
