UPTAC 2025 counselling registration deadline extended again; apply by July 15 for BTech admission

Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (APJAKTU) has extended the registration deadline for the Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) 2025 to July 15. Eligible candidates seeking admission to the BTech programme can register for UPTAC counselling 2025 through the official website, uptac.admissions.nic.in.

Initially, the deadline to register for UPTAC 2025 counselling was June 30, which was later extended to July 6 . “As per the directive received from the competent authority, the last date for UPTAC-2025 BTech first-year counselling registration for the academic session 2025–26 has been extended from July 6, 2025, to July 15, 2025,” the official notice said.

To register for the UPTAC 2025 counselling, candidates are required to pay a registration fee of Rs 1,000 for both the main and special rounds. The counselling process will include choice filling, seat allotment, document verification and confirmation of admission by the allotted institute.

UPTAC 2025 Counselling: Seat allotment fee

As per the official schedule issued initially, the last date to exercise the UPTAC choice-filling process for round 1 is July 12. Seat allotment for JEE candidates under UPTAC round 1 will be announced on July 14, 2025. Those who are allotted a seat will be required to pay a seat confirmation fee of Rs 20,000 if they belong to the General, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), or Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories. For candidates from the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories, the fee will be Rs 12,000.

The UPTAC 2025 counselling process will be held in seven rounds. Following the extension of UPTAC registration, the dates for choice filling and subsequent events are likely to be revised. However, the university has not yet released the updated UPTAC 2025 counselling schedule.
