Background wave

he authority conducted the UPTAC 2024 choice-filling for round 3 from August 20 to 21, 2024. UPTAC 2024 Seat Allotment Result: Factors involved

  • Merit Rank: Your rank in the relevant entrance exam (such as JEE Main for B.Tech) is the primary criterion for seat allotment. Higher-ranked candidates are given priority in the allotment process.

  • Choice Filling: During the counselling process, candidates fill in their preferred colleges and courses. The allotment is based on these preferences in combination with their merit rank.

  • Category: Reservation categories like SC, ST, OBC, EWS, etc., play a significant role in the seat allotment process. Seats are reserved for different categories, and candidates in these categories may have different cut-offs.

  • Seat Availability: The number of available seats in a particular course and college also affects allotment. If a preferred course or college has fewer seats, competition will be higher.

  • Domicile: Some seats might be reserved for candidates from Uttar Pradesh, so domicile status can influence allotment.

  • Special Quotas: There might be special quotas such as for women, differently-abled candidates, or children of defence personnel, which can also impact the seat allotment.
