UPTAC Counselling 2024 choice filling postponed for BTech, MBA, MCA due to ‘unavoidable reasons’

NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) has postponed the choice filling for round 1 “due to unavoidable circumstances”. Through the UPTAC counselling 2024, admission into BTech via JEE Main 2024, MBA, MCA, MCA lateral via CUET PG will be offered. The board also said that the updated UPTAC counselling schedule will be issued soon at the official website, uptac.admissions.nic.in.
UPTAC choice filling facility for round 1 was scheduled to start from July 30, however, it has been deferred due to unavoidable circumstances. As per the earlier schedule, the choice filling was slated to end on August 3 for declaring the allotment results on August 5.
“20% of the total sanctioned seats for admission in the first year of all courses in Institutions affiliated to AKTU shall be open to All India candidates. These seats shall be filled on the basis of merit in the respective examinations,” the information brochure read.

Candidates will have to submit their choice of courses and colleges in the order of preference. They will also be given an opportunity to either freeze the allotment and join at the allotted college or wait for the upgrade in the subsequent rounds.
