UPTET 2021: Several candidates denied entry at exam centres due to lack of valid documents

UPTET 2021: Several candidates were not given entry in Paper 1 due to lack of attested documents, late arrival. Candidates protested.

NEW DELHI: Several candidates appearing for Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2021 exam have alleged that they were denied entry at the exam centres for different reasons. While some candidates could not reach their centres on time due to bad weather conditions, others were not given entry due to non availability of valid documents such as attested documents.

UPTET exam 2021 Paper 1 was conducted from 9pm to 12:30pm in offline mode. Angry candidates protested at the exam centres and also made complaints on Twitter.

A candidate tweeted: “#uptet exam timings were from 10 am. But the authorities didn't allow the students after 9:30.almost 50 percent of the students were standing outside. myogiadityanath Firstly paper leak and now this.govt don't care about students.”

Another candidate said he is being “punished twice”. “Because of train derailment 2 days ago and its resultant disruption of rail traffic, I missed my #UPTET exam today. Last time I was giving #UPTET2021 on 28 November 2021, the paper got leaked and govt cancelled the exam midway. No fault of mine, but I get punished, twice!,” he tweeted.

Another candidate said in a tweet: “#UPTET Candidates Not allowed to enter in the examination hall. It was 9:30 am and they stopped taking candidates inside. Examination time was 10:00 am When papers were leaked students had to suffer. Can't they even allow entey 30 mins prior. Total ruckus created at center.”

Another aspirant said candidates were denied entry as they didn’t carry an attested marksheet.

“The candidates who came to take the exam protested outside the examination center for not getting admission,” a user tweeted.
