Considering IMD's orange alert, schools upto class 12 in Uttarakhand's Bageshwar district will remain closed on August 10.

Several places in Uttarakhand received rainfall on Sunday, and the meteorological department has issued an 'orange alert' for four districts, including Dehradun, warning of heavy to very heavy rain on Monday. The forecast indicates a likelihood of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in the districts of Dehradun, Bageshwar, Nainital, and Champawat. There is also a predicted possibility of lightning strikes and intense to extremely intense rainfall in some areas within these districts.
Additionally, a 'yellow alert' for rain has been issued for the state's other districts. In view of the MeT's warning, schools up to Class 12 in Bageshwar district have been declared closed for Monday. Officials stated that, anticipating inclement weather, the State Emergency Operation Centre has instructed all districts to remain alert and adopt adequate precautionary measures.
