NEW DELHI: The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) is mulling changes in WBBSE HS (Class 12) exam dates 2022 due to a clash with the Joint Entrance Examination Mains (JEE Mains 2022). The board had announced to conduct the West Bengal Class 12 exams 2022 from April 2 to April 20, 2022. On the other hand, WBBSE Class 10 board exams will start from March 7 and end on March 16, 2022.

WBCHSE president Chiranjib Bhattacharya told PTI that many higher secondary students sit for joint entrance exams conducted at the national level, and the council is, therefore, contemplating changing the schedule of the board exams.
"Nothing has been finalised yet. We will explore and evaluate these factors and pass on the recommendations to the state government. The final call is likely next week,” he said. Bhattacharya, however, said any change in dates of the Class 12 board examination “will not be hasty and arbitrary”.
Students have been demanding to postpone the board exam 2022 dates as there is no time gap between the engineering entrance examinations and Class 10, 12 exams. Following the National Testing Agency’s JEE Mains 2022 exam dates, boards have started to release a revised board exam timetable.
The Department of Pre-university Education, Karnataka has released the tentative revised Karnataka 2nd PUC time table for the April- May exams 2022 due to a clash with JEE Mains 2022 exam dates. The board has also asked students to file objections to the draft Karnataka 2nd PUC date sheet by March 5, 2022.
The Telangana board has also postponed the rescheduled second-year examinations after its dates were clashing with the first session of the JEE Mains 2022.
Earlier, the WBBSE proposed to shut internet services during Class 10, 12 board exams 2022 to prevent paper leak.
