NEW DELHI, June 9:The qualified candidates of WBJEE 2018 entrance exam can now register for WBJEE counselling as West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board has started with it from June 9 onwards.
To participate in counselling, candidates will have to register, pay the counselling fee and fill their preferred choice of courses and colleges in online mode. The counselling is scheduled to be conducted in three rounds however, registration for it will only be in the first round i.e. from June 9 till June 15, which is the last date for registration.
Candidates will have to choose whether they want to participate in counselling on the basis of the JEE Main ranks or WBJEE 2018 ranks or both.
WBJEE Counselling Procedure
Candidates need to follow the steps given below for counselling:
Registration – Candidates will have to register by providing their application number, roll number, name and date of birth.
Payment of fees – After registration, candidates need to pay the counselling fees of Rs 500 through debit/ credit card or net banking.
Choice filling & locking – In this steps, candidates will have to fill their choice of colleges and courses and lock them. Once choices are locked, no changes will be made. Candidates are advised to take a print out of the locked choices.
Seat allotment – The seats will be allotted to candidates on the basis of their merit, choices filled by them and availability of seats. The seat allotment for round 1 will be conducted on June 19.
Document verification – After being allotted a seat, candidates will have to get their documents verified at the reporting centres.
Reporting to the allotted institute – Candidates will be given a provisional seat allotment letter after the successful verification of documents. Candidates will have to report to the allotted institute if they are satisfied with their seat by the dates specified.
