Download NowThe West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEE) will announce WBJEE 2025 entrance exam results on August 7, after a delay of over a month. Candidates are required to upload details about their caste category certificate in the relevant section of the WBJEE portal by August 2.
The board will sort out the data and incorporate updates of every candidate before results are announced, said WBJEE board chairperson Sonali Chakraborty Banerjee.
Following the Supreme Court’s July 28 order to put a hold on Calcutta High Court’s earlier decision to halt the implementation of a revised list of other backward classes (OBCs) , the announcement was made by state government to declare the WBJEE 2025 results.

"We are sure the process (of uploading details) will be over by the stipulated time and the results will be published on August 7," the WBJEE chairperson said. The decision to update every candidate's profile with the caste category information has been taken after consulting legal experts.
WBJEE 2025 exams were conducted on April 27. The result declaration process was delayed due to the legal proceedings on the OBC reservation in the state for education and recruitment.
On June 17, the Calcutta HC ordered an interim stay on notifications issued by the state government about reservations to 140 sub-sections under OBC-A and OBC-B categories. The WB government had prepared the new list after the HC, in May 2024, cancelled the inclusion of as many as 77 communities in the previous list. With inputs from PTI
