WBJEE JELET 2024 registration deadline extends to March 18, exam pattern

NEW DELHI: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has extended the registration deadline for the Joint Entrance for Lateral Entry Test (JELET) 2024 till March 18. The WBJEE JELET 2024 application form correction window will be open from March 20 to 22, 2024.

Candidates who have not applied yet can fill out the WBJEE JELET application form through the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in. Earlier, the last date to apply was March 11. As per the official notice, the WBJEE JELET 2024 exam is tentatively scheduled to be held on June 29. Candidates will be able to download the WBJEE JELET 2024 admit card from June 21 to 29 through the official website.

WBJEEB JELET 2024 exam is conducted for candidates who want to get admission to the second year of undergraduate programmes in engineering, technology, and pharmacy. This includes various universities, government colleges, as well as self-financing engineering and technological institutes in the state for the academic session 2024-25.

For the WBJEE JELET 2024 exam, male candidates from the general category are required to pay an application fee of Rs 500. Female candidates from the general category and male candidates from reserved categories, including scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), other backward classes (OBC-A), OBC-B, and economically weaker sections (EWS), will have to pay an application fee of Rs 400. Female candidates from reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, EWS) and third-gender applicants are required to pay a fee of Rs 300 as the JELET 2024 application fee.

WBJEE JELET 2024: Exam pattern

WBJEE JELET is an offline, pen-and-paper-based examination. The exam is conducted in two categories. The category 1 exam, carries 80 questions and the category 2 exam carries 20 questions. As per the marking scheme, one mark is awarded for each correct answer and a 0.25 mark is deducted for wrong answers in the category 1 exam. For the category 2 exam, two marks are awarded for each correct option. Candidates will get a total of 2 hours to complete the exam. Subject-wise questions and mark distribution are given in the table below.
