WBJEE JELET 2024 registration ends today at wbjeeb.nic.in; eligibility, exam fee

NEW DELHI: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) online application form-filling process for the Joint Entrance Lateral Entry Test (JELET) 2024 will end today, March 11. The WBJEE JELET 2024 exam is scheduled to be held on June 26. The JELET 2024 form correction window will be open from March 13 to 15, 2024.

As per the official notice, the WBJEEB will issue the JELET 2024 admit card on June 21. Candidates who want to apply for the WBJEE JELET 2024 exam can fill out the application form by visiting the official website at wbjeeb.nic.in.

The male candidates from the general category will have to pay an application fee of Rs 500 to register for the WBJEE JELET 2024 exam. The application fee for female candidates from the general category is Rs 400. Male candidates from reserved categories including scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), other backward classes (OBC-A), OBC-B, and economically weaker sections (EWS) should also pay Rs 400. Candidates from the female category (SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, EWS) and third-gender applicants are required to submit a fee of Rs 300 as the JELET 2024 application fee.

WBJEE JELET is a state-level entrance exam designed for admission to the second year of four-year BTech programs offered by government and private colleges in West Bengal. The exam will be conducted in a single shift from 11 am to 1 pm.

WBJEE JELET 2024 Exam: Eligibility criteria

Candidates should check the eligibility criteria below before applying for the WBJEE JELET 2024 exam.

Age limit:

  • As per the official notice, there is no upper age limit for diploma holders in engineering, technology, or pharmacy.

  • For BSc candidates, the upper age limit is 27 years old as of December 31, 2024.

  • For diploma holders in marine engineering, the upper age limit is 25 years old as of December 31, 2024.

Education qualification:

  • Candidates should have passed a minimum of three years or two years of lateral entry diploma examinations with at least 45% marks from any branch of engineering and technology.

  • Candidates should have passed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from a recognized university as defined by the University Grants Commission (UGC), with at least 45% marks and passed Class 12 with mathematics as a subject.

  • Candidates seeking admission to engineering and technology degree courses with a BSc or bachelor of vocation (BVoc) background should have completed a BSc or BVoc degree from any university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), securing a minimum of 45% marks.

  • For admission to Jadavpur University, candidates should have scored a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in their diploma examination.
