The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has opened the registration window for admission to BSc Nursing and various undergraduate (UG) paramedical courses based on the Joint Entrance Test for Nursing, Paramedical and Allied Sciences Undergraduate (JENPAS 2025) ranks.
As per the WBJEE JENPAS Counselling 2025 schedule, the registration, fee payment, and choice filling facility will be available till November 18 on the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in. Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 500 to participate in the counselling process for admission to government and self-financing colleges and institutions in West Bengal.
The WBJEEB conducted the JENPAS UG entrance exam in OMR-based format. Paper 1 was held for all paramedical courses and paper 2 exclusively for Bachelor in Hospital Administration (BHA). Based on the performance of candidates, the board published a General Merit Rank (GMR) as well as BHA Merit Rank (BMR).
Only female candidates are eligible for admission to BSc Nursing courses in government colleges, while a few private colleges offer BSc Nursing courses only for male candidates.
Both male and female candidates are eligible for admission to all other courses except BSc Nursing in both government and private colleges.
There will be two rounds of JENPAS counselling, namely allotment and upgradation. The registration fee for the mop-up round is non-refundable, the board clarified. Until last year, there were three rounds of counselling — allotment, upgradation, and mop-up.
Additionally, candidates allotted a college in any of the rounds are required to pay a seat acceptance fee of Rs 1,000.
During the online centralised counselling process, the board will not convert any vacant seat in any reserved categories to a general seat.
While filling the application form, candidates have to enter their personal, academic, bank account details, address, and more. After registering, they will have to proceed to fill choices in the order of priority.
“Candidates must be very judicious and cautious while selecting the choices. Candidates are advised to select maximum/all possible institutes/ branches. This ensures that he/she always gets an allotment,” it said.
Based on the choices submitted by candidates, the round 1 seat allotment results will be declared on November 20. The complete schedule for WB BSc Nursing counselling is given below.
