West Bengal board Class 12 exam starts tomorrow for over 8.5 lakh students
206 venues have been declared sensitive. Students appearing from the sensitive WB 12th exam centres will have to go through a 3-layer screening system.
West Bengal HS 2023 exams start tomorrow
NEW DELHI: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination, or WBCHSE, will start the Class 12 Uccha Madhyamik exams from tomorrow, March 14. The West Bengal Class 12 exams will be held for around 8.52 lakh students. The West Bengal Class 12 exams slated to begin tomorrow will be held in 2,349 venues. The WB Higher Secondary exam will continue till March 27.
The first day of the West Bengal Class 12 exams will begin with the Bengali (A), English (A), Hindi (A), Nepali (A), Urdu, Santhali, Odia, Telugu, Gujarati and Punjabi papers followed by English (B), Bengali (B), Hindi (B), Nepali (B), alternative English on March 16, 2023.

Candidates or anyone else involved in the WB exam process in the venues will not be allowed to leave their seats before one hour of the exams starting at 10 am. The WB 12th exam timing is 10 am to 1:15 pm.

As many as 206 venues out of the total 2,349 have been declared sensitive. The students appearing from the sensitive exam centres will have to go through a three-layer screening system to prevent mobile phones or any electronic gadget from being sneaked inside the exam hall to avert any malpractices. Also there will be CCTV surveillance and metal detectors in every venue.

In a first, the council will use Radio Frequency Detector (RFD) to track the presence of any mobile or other electronic gadgets in some of the 206 sensitive venues as and when required.
West Bengal board 12th practical exams were held from December 5 to December 21, 2022.
