NEW DELHI: West Bengal government has cancelled the WB Class 12 and 10 board exam 2021, ANI tweeted. The decision to cancel WBBSE Board exam 2021 was made due to an exponential rise in the COVID-19 cases.

“West Bengal state board exams for Class 10 and Class 12 have been cancelled: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee,” according to a tweet by ANI.

The evaluation methods for West Bengal Class 10 and Class 12 students will be announced within seven days, chief minister Mamata Banerjee said, according to a NDTV report.

Earlier, the West Bengal government formed an expert committee to take a decision on whether to conduct West Bengal board exam 2021 or not. The government also invited opinions of students and parents on the subject.
