West Bengal Board 2026 LIVE: WBCHSE Class 12 English, Hindi paper begins; timetable, exam analysis

The West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Education will start the WBCHSE Class 12 board exams 2026 for English, Hindi, alternate English, Nepali and Bengali papers at 10 am.

Here are some of the important information for the board exams

• The first bell will ring 15 minutes before the exam to alert students and allow them to settle in the examination hall.
• After that, the second bell will ring at the start of the exam, after which students can begin writing their answers.
• The third bell will ring 5 minutes before the end, so students can review their answers before submitting the paper.
• And at the final bell, students must stop writing immediately and submit their answer scripts as instructed by the invigilators.

The West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Education will conduct WB Class 12 board exam on Bengali, English, Hindi, Nepali, Alternative English paper tomorrow from 10 am to 1:15 pm.

The WB Uchha Madhyamik Board has installed CCTV surveillance at all exam locations to ensure a fair and transparent process. The WB board has designated more than 100 exam centres as “sensitive” and set up stringent monitoring measures. 

Electronic devices, written material, bags, smart watches and similar prohibited items cannot be brought inside examination venues, as per the official guidelines. 

The following is the bell timing for candidates taking the WBCHSE class 12 supplementary semester 3 and semester 4 exams. Students appearing for the exam must strictly follow the bell timing to avoid any confusion during the exam.

The WB Class 12 semester 4, 3 supplementary exams will follow the same subject-wise dates but different timings. The WB semester 4 exams for vocational, visual arts and music tests from 10 am to 11:15 am. 

The WB semester 3 supplementary exams will be held from 1 pm to 2:15 pm, and these specific subjects from 1 pm to 1:45 pm.

The West Bengal council has commenced the WBCHSE Class 12 board exam 2026 for Bengali, Hindi, English, Urdu, Nepali, Santhali, Odia, Telugu, Gujarati, and Punjabi today.
