NEW DELHI: After the cancellation and postponement of various board and entrance exams, the medical aspirants are also requesting the authorities to postpone the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). As per the notice released on March 12, 2021, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET UG exam on August 1 in pen and paper-based format. The application form for NEET 2021 has not been released yet.

As per the PTI reports, NEET 2021 is likely to be ‘pushed to September.’ However, a final decision in this regard is yet to be taken and the Ministry is in process of reviewing the COVID-19 situation across states and UTs. Amid the uncertainty over the exam schedule, students have been continuously requesting the postponement of the exam.

Medical aspirants have taken to Twitter requesting the NTA and the education minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, to postpone the NEET entrance exam till October. Here are some of the recent tweets.

Commenting on the judgement passed by the Supreme Court on board exams, a user tweeted, “Why our court is not asking the NTA about the same. Are only boards so important?”

Another NEET aspirant requested the authorities to officially announce an update on the NEET exam 2021.

“Why is NTA taking so much time to release the application form for NEET 2021 exam?” an aspirant asked.

An applicant requested the education minister to declare NEET exam date tomorrow.

The education minister will be conducting a live session on June 25, 2021, to answer the queries of students on Class 12 board exams. It is expected that the education minister will also talk about JEE Main 2021 and NEET 2021 exams.
