NEW DELHI: Regarding the issue of the postponement of the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) PG 2022, an Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) delegation again met the Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya today. According to an official statement from the student union, a meaningful discussion on six key points to justify NEET PG 2022 postponement was held In the meeting with Mandaviya and the officials of the Health Department. “After this extensive discussion, a direction to the discussion is expected giving relief to the candidates,” the statement said.

The ABVP delegation also placed the issue of the students before the Union Health Minister through a memorandum. ABVP also demanded permission for candidates to fill the NEET PG 2022 registration form by reopening the link for a day for the students whose allotted seats were canceled, as per the statement.

Leading the delegation National Convener of MeDe Vision Virendra Solanki said, “We are constantly striving to fulfill the demands of the students. We are in touch with thousands of students across the country whose views we have presented to the Health Ministry. It is expected that as soon as possible a student-friendly solution will be found.

National General Secretary of ABVP, Nidhi Tripathi said, “Our delegation mainly put forward six important points in front of the Union Minister and the officials acknowledged it to be major issues that need to be focused on. So, we are positive that these points will pave the way for the decision and the students will get relief."
Last week, the Supreme Court, not interfering in the matter, had left the decision of extension of NEET PG 2022 exam date to the central government. The top court dismissed the plea seeking postponement of NEET PG 2022 observing that postponing the medical entrance exam will create “chaos and uncertainty”.
