NEW DELHI, AUGUST 14: Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur has released the XAT 2019 notification on August 14. The exam will be conducted on Sunday, January 6, 2019. The online application process for XAT 2019 will commence from August 20, and the last date to submit the same without the late fee is November 30, 2018. The application fee for all candidates across categories is Rs. 1700/-.

Post-deadline, applicants need to pay an extra Rs. 300/- (Rs. 1700 + Rs. 300= Rs. 2000/-) to submit their XAT application forms. The notification also revealed a few modifications this time as there are some new elements pertaining to the exam of XAT 2019 including application fee, duration of exam, test centre, and exam pattern.

  • Application Fee - The application fee has been revised from Rs. 1650/- to Rs. 1700/- from this year onwards (XAT 2019)

  • Duration of Test - The total duration of XAT 2019 will be 3 hours. Until last year the exam duration was 3:35 hours.

  • Test Centre- Agartala has been removed from the test centre list. Now the exam will be held across 46 cities in India instead of 47.

  • XAT 2019 Exam Pattern - Essay Writing section has been removed. Now the exam has four sections. They are Verbal and Logical Ability (VA & LR), Decision Making (DM), Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation (QA & DI), General Knowledge (GK).

The participating institutes are either Xavier Associate Management Institutes (XAMI) or Non-XAMI. Last year, the number of XAMI institutes was 11 and number of non-XAMI institutes was 145.
