The candidates will be selected for admission on the basis of these four phases:

Phase 1 - Candidates have to appear for XAT 2021.

Phase 2 - The candidates will be shortlisted based on the cutoff released by the participating institutes.

Phase 3 - The shortlisted candidates will then be called for the further selection rounds of XAT 2021 which will consist of following rounds.

• Group Discussion (GD) or/ and Essay writing

• Personal Interview (PI)

Phase 4 - The final list of selected candidates will be prepared. The selected candidates will be offered admission to the participating institutes in offered programmes.

Xavier School of Management (XLRI), Jamshedpur will release XAT 2020 cutoff for programmes such as PGDM-BM and PGDM-HRM after the declaration of XAT 2021 result. XAT cutoff will be released by the third week of January in online mode. XAT cutoff 2021 for male and female candidates will be different. Additionally XAT cutoff for candidates belonging to Engineering background and non-Engineering background released by XLRI will be different. The cut off will include the overall cutoff for different categories and also sectional cutoff for individual segments based on XAT.

XAT 2021 Expected Cutoff

Candidates will be able to download their XAT result 2021 as soon as the XAT result link gets activated. The official XAT 2021 result will contain details such as candidate's name, registration number, category, photo, sectional score, overall score, sectional percentile and overall percentile. After the declaration of XAT 2021 result, XLRI Jamshedpur will release XAT cutoff for the academic session of 2021. Apart from that, those who wish to apply for other institutes, then candidates can check XAT participating institutes cutoff individually. After that, shortlisted candidates will be called for the next round of XAT selection process which will include Group Discussion (GD), Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) round.

In simple terms, the XAT percentile indicates the candidate's status among all candidates who have passed the Xavier Aptitude Test.

Candidates shortlisted based on XAT 2021 score will be eligible to apply for MBA/PGDM programmes at XLRI, Jamshedpur, associate institutes and over 500 other B-Schools across India that accept XAT scores for admission. To know about XAT score vs percentile, candidates should know the marking scheme;

• For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded.

• For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be reduced.

• 0.10 marks will be deducted for more than 8 questions that were not attempted.

The XAT scorecard 2021 includes the sectional percentage and percentile, overall percentage and percentile.

Xavier School of Management has released the XAT 2021 result. With the result of XAT 2021, the names of some of the toppers with the overall CAT percentile are also released.

There are more than 75,000 candidates are registered for XAT 2021. Below are the state-wise details of the XAT 2021 toppers.

XLRI has also published the XAT 2021 results along with the ranking details. There will be a separate All India Ranking List and a category wise XLRI XAT ranking list.

The big question is how this ranking is allotted in the XAT 2021 exam, assuming there will be as many as 100 percent in the XAT 2021 exam. 

Students who score high on the exam are given an XLRI XAT score of 100 percent. These students are therefore allotted the XAT 2021 rank (All India Rank) based on the Inter-merit guidelines provided by XLRI.

Marks for Correct Answers: 80x1=80

Marks deduct for Wrong Answers: 3x0.25=0.75

Marks deduct for un-attempt answers: 16x0.20=3.20

Final XAT score: 80-0.75-3.20=76.05

Candidates can access the XAT result by visiting the official website of XAT, i.e.xatonline.in. On clicking the XAT 2021 result link, the result window will appear on the screen. In order to view the XAT result, candidates will be required to enter their XAT ID and password. Next click on the scorecard tab and download the XAT scorecard. After declaration of XAT 2021 result, candidates should calculate their score and percentile by using XAT percentile calculator. Candidates can follow the below-provided process to calculate XAT percentile.

• Total number of candidates (N) who appeared in XAT 2021 exam

• Provide ranking (r) to all candidates who appeared in XAT 2021 based on measured score obtained in Verbal and Logical Ability section

• Now calculate the percentile score (P) of the candidate with ranking (r) in the Verbal and Logical Ability section as follows

• Now, round the XAT percentile score up to two decimal points

• For example, if the XAT percentile is 89.995%, their it will be rounded to 90%

Candidates can download their scorecard after the XAT 2021 results are announced. Following the announcement of the XAT result 2021, the toppers list and the XAT cutoff along with the merit list of candidates will be released.
