The candidates will be selected for admission on the basis of these four phases:

Phase 1 - Candidates have to appear for XAT 2021.

Phase 2 - The candidates will be shortlisted based on the cutoff released by the participating institutes.

Phase 3 - The shortlisted candidates will then be called for the further selection rounds of XAT 2021 which will consist of following rounds.

• Group Discussion (GD) or/ and Essay writing

• Personal Interview (PI)

Phase 4 - The final list of selected candidates will be prepared. The selected candidates will be offered admission to the participating institutes in offered programmes.

Xavier School of Management (XLRI), Jamshedpur will release XAT 2020 cutoff for programmes such as PGDM-BM and PGDM-HRM after the declaration of XAT 2021 result. XAT cutoff will be released by the third week of January in online mode. XAT cutoff 2021 for male and female candidates will be different. Additionally XAT cutoff for candidates belonging to Engineering background and non-Engineering background released by XLRI will be different. The cut off will include the overall cutoff for different categories and also sectional cutoff for individual segments based on XAT.

The official XAT 2021 result will contain details such as candidate's name, registration number, category, photo, sectional score, overall score, sectional percentile and overall percentile. After the declaration of XAT 2021 result, XLRI Jamshedpur will release XAT cutoff for the academic session of 2021. To know about XAT score vs percentile, candidates should know the marking scheme;

• For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded.

• For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be reduced.

• 0.10 marks will be deducted for more than 8 questions that were not attempted.

The XAT scorecard 2021 includes the sectional percentage and percentile, overall percentage and percentile.

Marks deduct for Wrong Answers: 3x0.25=0.75

Final XAT score: 80-0.75-3.20=76.05

After declaration of XAT 2021 result, candidates should calculate their score and percentile by using XAT percentile calculator. Candidates can follow the below-provided process to calculate XAT percentile.

• Total number of candidates (N) who appeared in XAT 2021 exam

• Provide ranking (r) to all candidates who appeared in XAT 2021 based on measured score obtained in Verbal and Logical Ability section

• Now calculate the percentile score (P) of the candidate with ranking (r) in the Verbal and Logical Ability section as follows

• Now, round the XAT percentile score up to two decimal points

• For example, if the XAT percentile is 89.995%, their it will be rounded to 90%
