Xavier School of Management (XLRI), Jamshedpur successfully conducted the XAT exam 2024 today, January 7. XAT was held as a computer-based test in 80+ cities across the country. According to the XAT exam analysis, the candidates found the XAT 2024 exam to be moderately difficult.

Around 1.35 lakh candidates have registered for XAT 2024. Compared to last year, the total number of candidates registered for XAT has increased by 39.9%. The XAT paper had a total of 101 questions—100 MCQs from 4 sections and 1 essay question.
XAT exam analysis 2024
The XAT difficulty level remained the same as last year, according to the exam analysis that the examinees shared. The XAT 2024 paper is moderate to tough, with some questions being very difficult.
Each section of the XAT exam 2024 had a different number of questions. In Verbal and Logical Ability, there were a total of 26 MCQs, with more questions from QA&DI (28 MCQs), while the Decision Making section had a total of 22 MCQs. In GK, there were 25 questions. The XAT paper has an essay with 250 words.
The XAT result 2024 will be declared on January 31, 2024. Since the examination was conducted in a single shift, the XAT result will be declared without using the normalization process. After the declaration of the XAT 2024 result, various institutes accepting XAT scores will release the XAT cutoff for MBA admission.
The XLRI Jamshedpur cut off is expected to be around 95-99 percentile. However, candidates must clear the sectional cut off to qualify for further rounds of the admission process, like Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
XAT score vs percentile 2024
As per the XAT exam pattern, 1 mark will be given for the right answer, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for the wrong response. For 8 un-attempted consecutive questions, 0.10 marks will be deducted. There is no negative mark for the General Knowledge section.
