NEW DELHI- XLRI Jamshedpur will conduct XAT 2022 on January 2 in online mode. XAT registrations started on August 10. XAT application form and all the details pertaining to the XAT exam are available on the official website- xatonline.in. Xavier Aptitude Test which is also known as XAT is a national level entrance exam conducted for admission to MBA/PGDM and other postgraduate programmes offered by XLRI and over 160 top management colleges. Here we provide the XAT syllabus and exam pattern which must be followed by the candidates to prepare well for this entrance exam.

XLRI Jamshedpur provides the exam pattern of XAT on its official website. XAT 2022 will be held in computer-based (online) mode. There will be questions from four sections in the XAT 2022 question paper namely Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability, General Knowledge, and Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation.

XAT Pattern 2022

A total of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs) will be asked in the XAT question paper 2022. Candidates will get a total of 180 minutes to solve the entire XAT exam question paper. There will be no sectional time limit except for the General Knowledge (GK) section which has to be solved in 15 minutes. Check out the sectional break-up of XAT exam pattern

XAT Marking Scheme 2022

  • One mark will be awarded for every correct answer

  • 0.25 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer

  • 0.10 mark will be deducted for more than eight unanswered answer

  • There will be no negative marking in the General Knowledge section

  • General Knowledge marks will not be considered for calculating the XAT score

XAT Syllabus 2022

No specific XAT 2022 syllabus has been released by the XLRI Jamshedpur. However, going by past year trends, XAT syllabus can be devised based on the type of questions asked in the exam and from what all topics. XAT exam syllabus includes important topics from Verbal & Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge. The XAT syllabus was revised in 2018 when the exam officials removed Essay Writing from the XAT syllabus and thereafter no changes were introduced.
