NEW DELHI: Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak and massive protest seeking the postponement of the medical entrance examination, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released NEET admit card on August 26, 2020. The admit card of NEET 2020 has been released in three PDFs containing hall ticket details with an undertaking, instructions for candidates and COVID-19 advisories. Since NTA has made a collection of changes in the NEET UG 2020 admit card, the two major highlights are the important COVID-19 instructions to be followed by every aspirant at the exam entre and NEET admit card undertaking which major motive is to assure aspirants to follow the government's guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
NTA will conduct the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test - NEET 2020 on September 13. As much as 15.97 lakh registered NEET-UG aspirants will appear for the exam.
9.94 lakh admit cards of NEET downloaded on the second day
As per the reports, a total of 9,94,198 NTA NEET admit cards 2020 were downloaded on the second day of its release. Even some of the students protesting had started downloading the hall ticket.
NEET admit card second day: Over 9 lakhs candidates downloaded
Till 10:00 AM of August 27, a total of 9,09,481 students have downloaded their NTA admit cards NEET 2020, despite of all the protests regarding the postponement of medical entrance exams.
Within five hours of the release of the admit card, as many as 6.84 lakh aspirants downloaded it on August 26, 2020, as per the reports by dailies. Since the release of NEET admit card, students, parents, politicians and others were protesting against the government for conducting the exams. To mark the protest, students even burnt the NEET 2020 admit cards to express their disapproval towards centre's decision.
As per the report of the Press Trust of India (PTI), within the three hours of the release of the NEET 2020 admit card, over 4 lakh candidates have downloaded the admit cards despite the protest seeking the postponement of the medical entrance examination.
